Cereal for breakfast

This was just a fun shoot I did of a little girl enjoying her cereal in the morning. I was drawn to the old 50’s style setting and colors. I really liked the natural outcome of the images.  No fluff, just reality.  I was just playing around, but I thought I’d include them here. That’s what a blog is for, right?

Rockin’ hippies

This was a really fun photo shoot focusing on some action shots of a holistic hippie couple playing and enjoying their music. We really wanted the photos to focus on their mood and energy.  The models did a wonderful job of bringing an energetic, positive spirit to the shoot!

Simple, tight cropping with high-key contrasty lighting made for the images you see here. We brought the dog in to be an accessory that you don’t really notice at first until the shot is examined closer. Fun, fun!!

Run Andy Run

These are lifestyle photographs of a guy jogging through the city one afternoon. Andy did an amazing job showing a diverse range of emotions throughout the photo shoot while still keeping the mood I originally intended. That’s why we hire actors! These were shot in various locations around Downtown Denver. We wanted him to pop off of an almost gray looking mucky background, and the red shirt worked perfectly. It was just after a rainstorm so the weather worked out well. I set out for the lighting to be soft but bring a little bit of drama. Overall I love the images and it was a pleasure to work with this team.

New Print Portfolios by Mullenberg

I’m so excited about my new print portfolios made by Scott Mullenberg.  http://www.mullenbergdesigns.com/

He did an amazing job down to every detail. I had a total of 3 books made, one for each of my website categories.  Lifestyle Photography, Commercial Photography and Still Life Photography (featuring food and architecture images). http://www.jessicagrenier.com/
Each is a different color within my brand.  Then he foil stamped my logo on the front of each book and I had the front and back pages letterpress printed with my logo/contact info to match the letterpress of the rest of my collateral.

Whenever I make a new print book it’s always a chore, but I really enjoyed creating these.  Scott was the easiest guy to work with and was so flexible every time I changed my mind, and trust me there was a multitude of times that I did.

So, now I’m excited to schedule a bunch of new meetings to show off my new books.  I already had a few this week and people really loved the books. Thanks again Scott!!
