Cafe Architecture photos

A restaurant, 212 Cafe, in Denver, Colorado needed photos of their architecture for their advertising.  They recently updated their decor by adding a community table through the middle of the space.  They wanted to accent this table as one of the main highlights.

I took some architecture photographs of the entire restaurant, the entry, and a few accenting their main selling points including the computer friendly table and the bakery.

It was challenging, since we shot a few of the photos while they were still open for business, but sometimes that just what you have to do as a photographer.  People were understanding, and we made it work.  I think the vibrant colors of the place, really make for warm and cozy photographs.

Here are a couple of the overall shots of the place.

Splash Photography

A potential client of mine recently requested that I show him some examples of “splash” photography for his beverage company.  Also known as water drops or time freezing photography.

So, I put together a few images that I have taken, and thought I would post them here, just in case anyone else is interested in this type of work.  For those of you who aren’t familiar with this type of photography, it requires a different approach than most.  It requires specialized equipment to freeze at such high speeds, along with a very patient and experienced hand.  It’s a lot of fun to shoot because every shot is unique.  You never really know exactly what you’ll get, but if you play enough you start to build consistency and you can end up with really fun results.
