Farm
I was in Arkansas this weekend visiting my grandparents out at their farm in Old Hickory, and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to play with some new techniques.
I bought this new filter that produces a variety of effects on images, one of which is this HDR (High Dynamic Range) type look. I chose to leave the sky white, as I felt it suited the imagery, however HDR typically brings in a vibrant sky with cloud coverage. Overall, I like the results. It’s a nice cross between reality and animation. It will come in handy in using my 3D animation backgrounds.
The photo of the man is my Grandpa Cleo Masingill in front of his old barn that’s about ready for tear down. He currently runs a horse and cow farm, and raised chickens up until a few years ago. He is 89 years old, and still works harder than most twenty-somethings I know.
