So I thought winter was over. We had a really early spring come to Denver this year and I was loving it. Due to the low amounts of snow in the mountains this year creating low level snowboarding, I was ready to move on into summer and bring on motocross and wake boarding season. But today, we had one of our gorgeous spring snows with huge wet flakes pouring down all morning. I’m not sure if it’ll be the last of it or not, but it inspired me to put up some of the snow shots I’ve taken this winter. So here are a few pics to tide all of you snow-lovers over until a new winter comes.
Amazing team work on shots this year…

Whew… now this was a shoot any woman would want to photograph.
The Integer Group, an agency representing a certain notable “razor” company (who will not to be named here until the product releases, at the request of the client) asked me to put together this shoot to showcase the new desired “look and feel” for their brand. So with a wonderful team, listed below, we created some powerful images representing a variety of the client’s products. The different products showcased in these images include razor blades, face wash, deodorant, shower gel and disposable razors. Overall they wanted the models to feel like the everyday, confident man just going about their day but exuding the masculine demeanor they so naturally have.
I absolutely loved working on this shoot for many reasons, but the best thing was the agency was so wonderful to work with. They really let me play with the lighting and angles and let me push myself creatively. So that was a lot of fun and all of us were very happy with the results. Also, my team was tremendous putting together this shoot in record time. So thanks everyone!

This was an advertising photo shoot for the Community College of Aurora focusing on their Fire Academy. It’s an intense program pushing the students into situations they would encounter in their every day job as a Firefighter, while testing them the entire time. This was a really fun shoot because we got to just shoot along side of the students as they were being tested in the field. So even though it was an advertising shoot, it had much more of an editorial feel. There were no models, makeup, props or wardrobe. No posing for the camera, just caught in the moment documentary style photography. It’s a different style of shooting which requires a different set of skills. So it’s fun to break them out now and again. I typically try and mimic this style in my advertising photography anyway, so it worked well, but it was different just being a crew of 2 and going out and having fun!
Thank to the Sable Altura Fire Department for your hospitality and education! I learned so much and we are all incredibly grateful for the risks you all take everyday. It enables us all to live safer and pursue our independent passions. I can’t wait to visit again.

This was a photo shoot for a new line of bread for Udi’s Gluten Free division. They wanted something clean and simple, but rustic in nature, showing the ingredients that went into each bread flavor. We also pulled in some food as props that could ultimately be used on the bread as toppings, or a sandwich. We make the lighting a little moody with a very rich, warm tone to create a rustic barn wood feel.
We were all really happy with the results.
